World environment day

Trees are life 🧬

*Prayaas Sanstha’s Herculean Task on World Environment Day* On the occasion of World Environment Day, Prayaas Sanstha, a social organization, has embarked on a new phase in its environmental conservation efforts. The organization had planted Kadamb trees on Mathura-Vrindavan Road on August 3, 2024, which have now reached full maturity. *The Organization’s Devotion* Prayaas Sanstha has worked tirelessly throughout the year, with its volunteers committed to nurturing the plants into trees. The volunteers tend to the plants every Sunday, ensuring their growth and well-being. A gardener and water tanker have also been arranged to support the plants’ needs, resulting in all the plants thriving. *Plantation of the New Plants* Chief Guest Parmanand Gupta and Special Guest Dr. Praveen Verma were present during the plantation of new trees with tree guards. Various programs were organized, including a “Run for Plants” competition, poster-making on environmental themes, and a human chain for awareness. *Awards and Recognition* Volunteers who served the plants throughout the year were awarded certificates and prizes. All participants were also honored with certificates and Tulsi plants. *The Organization’s Achievements* Last year, on June 5th, the organization had planted 45 trees at Vrindavan Moksh Dham, most of which have grown significantly due to a year’s care. Abhay Vashistha, President of the organization, expressed his dream of leaving behind a legacy of Kadamb trees for future generations, which would be a monumental task for Prayaas. Vivek Acharya, Secretary of the organization, emphasized that Prayaas believes in action, not just words.
